Our 5 speed gearbox conversion for A-Series Spridgets has proved to be extremely popular, which we are delighted about. The only problem is the supply of Suzuki ‘R7ME’ gearboxes now can’t keep up!
To resolve this, we have developed a new adaptor plate and revised the gear change mechanism to suit ‘G13B’ gearboxes, which are found in manual single cam Jimnys from 1995 – 2005.
Same low weight, same overdrive 5th gear, same easy bolt-in installation and the same price!
When ordering a complete gearbox conversion kit with reconditioned box from us you will receive either an R7ME or G13B, depending on stock levels at the time of dispatch.
The Nissan engine swap is still only compatible with R7ME type gearboxes because of the larger flywheel on the CG engines.
